Create! Collective, the professional membership community for contemporary artists founded by Ekaterina Popova, is proud to present In Good Company: A Group Exhibition from Create! Collective - an online exclusive exhibition now live on Artsy.
The show brings together 45 participating member artists whose work spans painting, mixed media, works on paper, and more. United not by a single aesthetic but by a shared commitment to building meaningful, sustainable careers in art, these artists represent the heart of what Create! Collective was built for.
Create! Collective was founded on the belief that artists deserve more than inspiration - they deserve real community, professional tools, and opportunities that meet them where they are. In Good Company is an extension of that mission, giving member artists a high-visibility platform to present their work to a global collector base through one of the world's leading online art marketplaces.

What if art wasn’t something you looked at but something you chose, shared, and experienced together?
For one night only, Of Love & Other Devotions transforms dinner into a collective act of curation.
At your table, you’ll be presented with two menus:
A five-course dinner menu
And an art menu
The twist? The art menu can only be ordered once per table, and only as a group.
You and the people seated closest to you will decide, together, which artworks you want delivered to your table.
The choice is final. No revisions. No second orders.
How do you negotiate taste? Who leads? Who compromises? And how does that decision change the way you experience the work?
🍽️ The Experience
Throughout the evening, artworks are served to your table by a dedicated art server appearing between courses like a quiet interruption. You’ll be invited to interact with the work before they disappear again.
After dinner, the experience deepens.
You’ll be guided into a private exhibition space, accessible only to guests of the evening, where the artworks from the menu and additional unseen works are revealed in full.

Aan het eind van het jaar pakt de Amsterdamse kunstenaarsvereniging Arti et Amicitiae groots en feestelijk uit met de ledententoonstelling de Salon. In de Salon tonen meer dan 200 leden kunstenaars een recent werk.
Laat je verrassen door de veelzijdigheid en eigenheid van de werken. Schilderijen, beelden, video’s, installaties, fotografie en grafiek; de Salon laat een breed scala aan hedendaagse kunst zien en biedt hierdoor een fantastisch overzicht van de kunstenaars die Arti rijk is.
De Salon is een verkooptentoonstelling.

Elke paar maanden komen vooral Amsterdamse kunstenaars aan bod in Vrijburg. In de prachtige Moddermanzaal. Wie kan komende zondag 10 november 2024 is er eerst een dienst met Dominee Esther vd Panne tot 11.30uur en daarna is de flits-opening tussen 11.35 en 13.00 uur in de Moddermanzaal werk van Liesbeth Sevenhuijsen (Onafhankelijken), Jalinka Gressmann (Arti et Amicitiae) en Claudia Otten (Kunstruim).
Van abstract naar realistisch, van foto’s tot schilderijen en collages!
Welkom en anders als u dan net niet kunt: bel Vrijburg wanneer u het werk kunt bezichtigen!

Ik ben totaal vergeten goede foto's te maken, dus hier een voor-en-na foto van de expo, plus een foto die ik online vond van een meisje die blijkbaar een werk van mij als het mooiste kunstwerk in de expo had gekozen, wat een eer!
Er was ook nog een allerliefst meisje dat een verslag op haar school over mij en het kunstwerk "Pica" ging schrijven. Het grootste compliment is wanneer kinderen van je creaties houden! <3
London was so much fun! I am very grateful to be part of the amazing art exhibition "Journeys: Retracing Our Paths" organised by the wonderful team of "Painting Progress".
The organisation has a wonderful mission of providing an artist platform for emerging artists and supporting charity for poverty relief and education.

We zijn een nieuw initiatief gestart, waarbij wij jou uitnodigen om met ons aan tafel te gaan! Deze avond zal in het teken staan van kunst, Body Positivity en de Marokkaanse cultuur.
We starten om 17:00 met de opening van een nieuwe expositie ‘Collages’ van beeldend kunstenaar Jalinka Gressmann in het Eetlokaal.
Schuif daarna aan bij de Marokkaanse eettafel! Wees gereed om je onder te dompelen in de rijke cultuur van Marokko terwijl we genieten van een smaakvol diner met authentieke Marokkaanse gerechten.
Na het eten is de talkshow Amsterdam Talks Sex rondom het onderwerp Body Positivity, inclusief een betoverende modeshow die de prachtige Marokkaanse stijl tot leven brengt.

I have some exciting news to share with you! I've got three (and maybe even four, but I'll confirm that later) new shows coming up!
First up is the Dutch/Belgian Collage Festival, which is taking place in Schiedam, the Netherlands, from September 28th to October 15th. I feel incredibly honored to have been asked to participate in this festival. You can visit the exhibition space at the Art Centre "Kunstwerkt" on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 1 pm to 5 pm. The official opening will be on Sunday, October 1st.
During the festival, there will be various creative workshops, lectures, and debates organized by organizations like 'Pictoright' (Copyright foundation) and other artists.

Het Collage Festival bestaat uit een verkooptentoonstelling, workshops, een lezing, een kunstenaarsgesprek en een debat. Op deze manier laten we de bezoeker kennismaken met de veelzijdigheid van de hedendaagse collage-kunst. We tonen o.a. fotocollage, décollage, cubomania, 3D-collage en assemblage.
Veertig hedendaagse kunstenaars, waaronder achttien collagisten uit België en tweeëntwintig uit Nederland, nemen deel aan het festival. Grote namen die zich bezig hebben gehouden met collage-kunst zijn o.a. Hannah Höch, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Kurt Schwitters, Man Ray, Joseph Cornell, Nancy Spero, John Stezaker, Mangechi Mutu en Sammy Slabbinck. Zij vormen slechts het topje van de ijsberg.
Het collageboek Dutch Collagists Traveling Book, een initiatief van Ro-Nalt Schrauwen, zal voor het eerst gepresenteerd en verkocht worden tijdens het festival.

Kunstenaarsgesprek zondag 8 oktober om 15.30 uur o.l.v. drs. Willy Atema van Kunsthistorisch Bureau Kunst & Kunde. Wat is een collage? Wat valt er onder collagekunst?
Finissage zondag 15 oktober. Van 15.00 uur tot 16.00 uur een gratis lezing over beeldrecht door Luna Schumacher van Pictoright, de non-profit auteursrechtenorganisatie voor alle visuele makers in Nederland. Aansluitend een borrel en afsluiting van de expositie.
Als collagekunstenaar gebruik je vaak beelden van andere makers. Fragmenten of hele plaatjes. Maar mag dat eigenlijk wel? Luna vertelt wat het speelveld is van de collage kunstenaar. Wat gebeurt er tegenwoordig in de collagekunst? Wie zijn de collage kunstenaars van nu, in België en Nederland, en op welke manier geven ze vorm aan hun collages?

Workshops
Locative Collage, zaterdag 30 september 13.00 uur door Juliette Pestel, 12 deelnemers
Hou je van collage, fotografie en street art? Geef je dan op voor deze leuke workshop, waarbij je het allemaal combineert. Je gaat 1 of meer collages zónder achtergrond maken, want de straat is je achtergrond! Miss Printed uit Noorwegen bedacht deze techniek. Jullie gaan geïnspireerd door haar werk zélf aan de slag, eerst aan de tafel, maar al gauw buiten. Je krijgt allerlei tips en trucs. Neem je smartphone of camera en, indien nodig, een regenjas en paraplu mee.
Décollage, zaterdag 7 oktober 13.00 en 15.00 uur door Ro-Nalt Schrauwen, 8 deelnemers
Décollage is een fascinerende collagevorm die zijn oorsprong vindt in de kunststroming van het surrealisme. In tegenstelling tot traditionele collage, waarbij beelden worden opgebouwd door het toevoegen van verschillende elementen, draait décollage om het verwijderen en onthullen van delen van bestaande afbeeldingen. Door scheuren, snijden en schuren creëert décollage een intrigerend samenspel van lagen, waarbij nieuwe betekenissen naar voren komen door het blootleggen van verborgen beelden en texturen. Het resultaat is een unieke artistieke compositie die de kijker uitnodigt om te interpreteren en te ontdekken. Décollage is een krachtige expressievorm die de grenzen van de traditionele collage doorbreekt en de deur opent naar een wereld van visuele verrassingen en verbeelding.
Fotoweven, zaterdag 30 september en 14 oktober 15.00 uur door Isabelle Zumbrink, 8 deelnemers
Binnen de papierkunst is het vlechten en weven van papierstroken met allerlei kleuren, lengtes en vormen een bekende werkvorm. Tijdens deze workshop leer jij hoe je foto's uit tijdschriften kunt weven. Je gaat experimenteren, trial-and-error, een heuse ontdekkingsreis dus. Straks weet je hoe je eigen foto’s, die je dierbaar zijn, kunt weven. Om zo herinneringen aan elkaar te verbinden en mooie kleine kunstwerkjes te maken. Natuurlijk mag je ook eigen foto’s meenemen om te weven, graag zelfs.
Collage Care, The Method, zaterdag 14 oktober 13.00 uur door Juliette Pestel, 8 deelnemers
Dat collage heel ontspannend kan zijn is vast bekend. Ook kan het helpen om moeilijke perioden in je leven aan te kunnen. Je kunt dit zelf doen of aan de hand van een beproefde methode.
Collage Care, The Method, is een leuke, creatieve en toegankelijke manier om uit te vogelen hoe het zit met emoties en gevoelens. Het kan je helpen lastige en moeilijke dingen te verwerken en te veranderen hoe je daar mee om gaat. Collage is een enorme blijmaker, verlaagt stress en geeft inzicht. We werken aan de hand van een oefening uit Collage Care, The Method, geschreven door therapeut en collage maker Laurie Kanyer uit de USA.

Hellooooow dear people!
I was invited to participate in a new art exhibition "Coupe Cahier 01: Type", a new international project from Coupee Collage Collective. Because I took part in their last project—"World Collage Atlas"—in 2019.
This time the show will be held at Ghent's Industrie Museum in Belgium.
The exhibition runs from May 13th to 24th.

This year it is all about typography and collage. Pieces of newspaper, words, type were used in the very first collages ever made. Now, 110 years later, the power of words and the meaning behind them make it seem as if the Tower of Babel has been build in the same language. So lets create a new universal language, the type-collage language, spoken in every corner of this world.
COUPEE made 'Coupee Cahier 01: Type'. It is a sample book. It is a bag. It is DaDa. It's a collection.

Women in important positions like mayors, politicians, talk show hosts, musicians, all get a lot of sexist dirt thrown at them. Women are called hysterical, while men in the same situation are called bold….
It’s structural, it’s normalized, it’s everyday sexism.
This. Must. Stop.
That’s why Nasty Women Amsterdam organized a second art exhibition & fundraiser in Amsterdam. It was a huge success! €20.000 ($22,000) was raised for charity.
