ARTIST BIO
Since childhood, Jalinka Gressmann has been captivated by the world's tales and visual richness—from refined eclectic aesthetics, to offbeat vintage and the unconventional.
As a mixed-media artist, she creates visual stories infused with these myths, folklore, and the extraordinary across cultures and time, curating diverse influences with a design-conscious eye.
Her practice unfolds through play and experimentation, guided by her synesthetic attention. Absorbing the world through all her senses, she allows concepts to emerge almost automatically through the act of creating.
Working with abstract and figurative elements, she layers symbolism, imagery from nature, and objects from everyday life into compositions that seek visual balance and harmony.
With a background in interior design, sculpture, and fine arts, her practice continues evolving across dimensions and materials—always collecting, always transforming.
