Jalinka Gressmann is an Amsterdam-based multidisciplinary artist creating collages, assemblages, paintings, photographs, drawings, and sculptural objects.

​

​She has been drawn to folklore, nature, ancient cultures, dreams, and the occult since childhood. These interests are tied to her neurodivergent mind, synesthesia, and roots from across the world. She often notices patterns, transformations, and synchronicities in daily life that reveal her ideas. Ideas can also come directly from dreams, scents, or music. It is always a surprise which ideas are born into art and enter this realm.

This experimental, instinctive associative way of creating sometimes leads to a hyperfocus on a particular medium, concept, or style.

Using diverse materials and found elements, she creates an eclectic body of work that moves between the abstract and the figurative.

​

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Intermedia from the University of the Arts Utrecht. Her work has been exhibited in New York City, London, Philadelphia, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Portugal, both in physical spaces and online, and is held in private collections worldwide.
