Service: Premium In-Person Creative Mentorship

1. Service Description

 

Premium In-Person Creative Mentorship comprises private, hands-on creative sessions held at the client's location (or an agreed-upon venue) in the Amsterdam area. Sessions focus on creative exploration, pattern work, and developing authentic creative practice through personalized guidance and experimentation with materials.

This service IS:

  • Hands-on creative exploration and experimentation

  • Personalized guidance through working with materials together

  • Support in discovering your unique creative approach

  • Pattern recognition in your creative process

This service is NOT:

  • Formal art education with a structured curriculum

  • Technical certification programs or diplomas

  • Therapy or mental health counseling

  • Crisis intervention or emergency support

  • 24/7 availability or unlimited access

 

2. Booking & Payment

 

2.1 Service Packages

  • Single Session: €400 (3 hours)

  • 4-Session Package: €1,500 (valid 6 weeks)

  • 6-Session Package: €2,200 (valid 2 months, includes scheduled online check-ins)

All packages include basic creative materials and local travel within Amsterdam area (within 15km of city center).

 

2.2 Payment Terms

  • Single sessions: Full payment required at least 7 days before scheduled session

  • Multi-session packages: Full payment required at time of booking

  • All prices include 21% Dutch VAT (BTW)

  • Payment must be received before sessions take place

  • Packages are non-transferable

 

2.3 Refund Policy

  • Single sessions cancelled with appropriate notice (see Section 4) may be refunded minus €50 administrative fee

  • Multi-session packages are non-refundable once the first session has taken place

  • Unused sessions within packages cannot be refunded or carried forward beyond validity period

  • Refunds are processed within 14 business days

 

3. Location & Travel

 

3.1 Service Area & Venue

  • Standard: Sessions take place at client's location (home, office, studio space) within Amsterdam and immediate surroundings (within 15km of city center)

  • Premium venue arrangements: Special locations (rented studios, galleries, museum spaces, gardens) available upon request for additional fee

  • Sessions outside standard area incur travel surcharges (see 3.2)

 

3.2 Travel Outside Amsterdam Area

  • Sessions outside the standard service area incur additional travel costs

  • Travel costs will be quoted on a case-by-case basis, depending on distance and time required

  • Travel surcharges must be agreed upon and paid before session confirmation

  • International arrangements available upon request with custom pricing

 

3.3 Location Requirements

  • Client must provide appropriate space for creative work

  • Space must be clean, well-lit, and suitable for the planned activities

  • Client is responsible for any damage to their property during sessions

  • Mentor reserves the right to decline unsuitable locations

 

3.4 Safety

  • Client must ensure the location is safe and accessible

  • Mentor may refuse to proceed if location is deemed unsafe

  • No refund will be provided if session is cancelled due to unsafe conditions

 

4. Scheduling, Cancellation & Rescheduling

 

4.1 Booking Sessions

  • Sessions must be scheduled at least 7 days in advance

  • Multi-session package sessions should be planned in advance when possible for optimal scheduling

  • Scheduling is subject to mentor availability

 

4.2 Client Cancellations - Single Sessions

  • More than 7 days notice: Full refund minus €50 administrative fee

  • 3-7 days notice: 50% refund

  • Less than 3 days notice: No refund, session is forfeited

 

4.3 Client Cancellations - Multi-Session Packages

  • More than 7 days notice: Session may be rescheduled within the package validity period (subject to availability)

  • 3-7 days notice: Session may be rescheduled for €75 fee (subject to availability)

  • Less than 72 hours notice: Session is forfeited with no refund or rescheduling

 

4.4 Mentor Cancellations

  • If mentor needs to cancel, client will be offered reschedule at no charge

  • If rescheduling is not possible, full refund for that session will be provided

  • For multi-session packages, an additional session will be added to extend validity period or prorated refund provided

 

4.5 No-Shows

  • Client no-shows result in immediate forfeiture of session with no refund

  • Repeated no-shows may result in termination of package without refund for remaining sessions

 

4.6 Late Arrival

  • Sessions begin at scheduled time regardless of client arrival

  • If client is more than 20 minutes late, session may be shortened or cancelled at mentor's discretion

  • No refund or extension for client lateness

 

5. Multi-Session Package Details

 

5.1 Scheduled Online Check-Ins (6-session package only)

  • Includes up to 6 brief scheduled online check-ins (15-30 minutes) between in-person sessions

  • Check-ins must be scheduled in advance (minimum 48 hours notice)

  • Check-ins are for discussing progress, questions, and session planning

  • NOT available on-demand or for crisis support

 

5.2 Package Validity

  • 4-Session Package: Valid for 6 weeks from date of first session

  • 6-Session Package: Valid for 2 months from date of first session

  • Sessions must be used within the validity period

  • Unused sessions expire after validity period and cannot be refunded or extended

  • Extensions may be granted only in exceptional circumstances at mentor's sole discretion

 

5.3 Unused Sessions

  • Sessions must be scheduled and completed within the package validity period

  • Unused sessions do not roll over or extend beyond validity period

  • No refunds for unused sessions within packages

 

6. Materials & Supplies

 

6.1 Included Materials

  • Basic creative materials for sessions are included in the package price and remain the property of the client after sessions

  • Basic materials include: paper, cardboard, collage materials, basic paints, markers, pencils, glue, tape, scissors, and standard craft supplies

 

6.2 Special Materials & Add-Ons

  • Specialized materials (professional canvases, clay, specialty paints, expensive art papers, large quantities) may incur additional charges

  • Jalinka's Designer Collage Papers: Pre-designed A3 collage sheets with curated cut-out collections available as add-ons (digital download or printed). Themes include various color palettes and motifs. Pricing available upon request.

  • Any additional material costs will be discussed and approved in advance

  • Client may provide or purchase their own specialized materials if preferred

 

6.3 Workspace Cleanup

  • Mentor will assist with reasonable cleanup after sessions

  • Client is responsible for final cleanup and disposal of materials

  • Client is responsible for any damage to property during creative work

 

7. Scope of Service & Boundaries

 

7.1 What IS Included

  • Scheduled in-person creative mentorship sessions

  • Basic creative materials

  • Local travel (within Amsterdam area)

  • Personalized creative guidance during session time

  • For 6-session package: up to 6 scheduled brief online check-ins (15-30 minutes each)

 

7.2 What is NOT Included

  • Communication outside scheduled sessions/check-ins

  • Emergency or crisis support

  • Formal art instruction or technical training

  • Guaranteed creative outcomes

  • 24/7 availability

  • Travel outside Amsterdam area (charged separately)

 

7.3 Availability & Boundaries

  • Mentor is available only during scheduled sessions and check-ins

  • Check-ins are scheduled in advance, not available on demand

  • Communication between sessions is limited to scheduling matters

 

8. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide suitable, safe location for sessions

  • Arrive on time and prepared for sessions

  • Provide accurate address and access instructions

  • Respect mentor's time and boundaries

  • Take responsibility for their own creative practice between sessions

  • Ensure pets are secured if they may interfere with session

  • Inform mentor of any relevant health/safety considerations

 

9. Confidentiality

 

9.1 Mentor's Commitment

  • Content discussed in sessions kept confidential

  • No identifying information shared without consent

  • General themes may be used for educational purposes without identifying details

 

9.2 Limitations

Confidentiality may be broken if:

  • Required by law

  • Imminent risk of harm to self or others

  • Client gives explicit permission

 

9.3 Photography & Documentation

  • Mentor may photograph workspace/materials for documentation with client permission

  • Client may photograph their own work

  • Neither party may share identifying photos without mutual consent

 

10. Intellectual Property

 

10.1 Client's Creative Work

  • All creative work produced by client remains client's intellectual property

  • Mentor makes no claim to ownership of client's creative output

 

10.2 Mentor's Materials & Methods

  • Any frameworks, methods, exercises, or resources provided by the mentor remain the mentor's intellectual property

  • These materials are for the client's personal use only

  • Client may NOT:

    • Share materials with others (online or offline)

    • Post materials on social media or websites

    • Use materials in their own teaching, workshops, or professional practice

    • Reproduce, distribute, or copy materials in any form

    • Use materials commercially or non-commercially outside of personal private use

 

11. Liability & Insurance

 

11.1 Client Liability

  • Client is responsible for any damage to their own property during sessions

  • Client assumes all risk for personal property during creative work

 

11.2 Mentor Liability Insurance

  • Mentor carries appropriate liability insurance for professional services

  • Insurance covers accidental damage caused by mentor during sessions

 

11.3 Limitation of Liability

  • Mentor is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

  • Total liability limited to amount paid for specific session/package

  • Mentor not liable for client's personal property or pre-existing conditions of location

 

11.4 No Guarantees

  • No guarantee of specific creative outcomes or results

  • Success depends on client engagement and individual circumstances

 

12. Health & Safety

 

12.1 Health Disclosure

  • Client must disclose any health conditions that may affect participation

  • Client must inform mentor of any allergies (especially to art materials)

  • Sessions may be adapted or postponed if health concerns arise

 

12.2 COVID-19 & Illness

  • If either party is ill, session must be rescheduled

  • Standard cancellation fees waived for illness with reasonable notice

  • Current health guidelines will be followed

 

13. Code of Conduct

 

13.1 Mutual Respect

  • Both parties agree to professional, respectful interaction

  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior not tolerated

 

13.2 Termination Rights

Mentor reserves the right to terminate mentorship if:

  • Client violates these terms

  • Client behaves disrespectfully or abusively

  • Unsafe conditions exist

  • Relationship is no longer productive

Refund Policy Upon Termination:

  • If termination is due to client's violation of terms or inappropriate behavior: No refund for unused sessions

  • If termination is due to other reasons: Prorated refund for unused sessions will be provided

14. Bespoke Luxury Experiences

Custom arrangements (private studio rentals, cultural experiences, museum visits, international travel) are available upon request with separate terms and pricing agreed in advance.

 

15. Data Protection & Privacy (GDPR)

 

15.1 Data Collection

The mentor collects and processes the following personal data:

  • Name and contact information (email, phone)

  • Address for in-person sessions

  • Payment information (processed securely through payment provider)

  • Session notes and creative development information

 

15.2 Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data is collected and used solely for:

  • Providing mentorship services

  • Scheduling and communication

  • Payment processing

  • Maintaining session continuity

  • Travel arrangements for in-person sessions

 

15.3 Data Storage & Security

  • All personal data is stored securely

  • Data is kept only as long as necessary for service provision and legal requirements

  • Client data will be retained for 7 years for tax purposes (Dutch legal requirement)

  • Session notes may be kept longer for continuity of service

 

15.4 Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data (after legal retention period)

  • Object to data processing

  • Request data portability

15.5 Data Sharing

Personal data will not be shared with third parties except:

  • Payment processors (for transaction processing)

  • When required by law

 

16. Mentor Unavailability

 

16.1 Short-Term Unavailability

If the mentor becomes temporarily unavailable (illness, emergency), sessions will be rescheduled at no additional cost within the package validity period.

 

16.2 Extended Unavailability

If the mentor is unable to fulfill services for an extended period (more than 2 weeks):

  • Clients will be notified immediately

  • For multi-session packages: Package validity periods will be extended accordingly

  • For single sessions: Full refund or rescheduling offered

  • If services cannot be resumed within a reasonable timeframe, prorated refunds will be issued for unused sessions

 

17. Changes to Terms

 

Mentor reserves the right to modify terms. Changes apply to services booked after the modification date. Existing packages honored under original terms.

 

18. Governing Law & Disputes

 

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes resolved under Dutch jurisdiction. Both parties agree to attempt a good-faith resolution before resorting to legal action.

Language: These Terms & Conditions are available in both English and Dutch. In case of any conflict or discrepancy between the English and Dutch versions, the Dutch version shall prevail.

 

19. Agreement

 

By booking and paying for Premium In-Person Creative Mentorship services, client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
