Jalinka Gressmann is an Amsterdam-based Multidisciplinary artist working in collage, assemblage, painting, photography, and sculptural objects. Drawn to mythology, ancient cultures, dreams, and the occult, she finds patterns, synchronicities, and transformations everywhere, across an eclectic and unconventional body of work that moves freely between the abstract and the figurative.

Jalinka has synesthesia: sounds and scents produce visuals. These involuntary crossings feed directly into her practice, which is experimental, instinctive, and built from mixed materials and found fragments, pulled apart and recombined into new connections. Her mixed heritage mirrors this: rooted across the world, she returns always to interconnectedness, as a longing as much as a theme, in her work // life.

Her background spans fine arts, sculpture, and interior design, giving her work a spatial and material intelligence that reads across contexts. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Intermedia from the University of the Arts in Utrecht.

Her work has been exhibited in New York, London, Philadelphia, and across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Portugal. She is a frequent exhibitor at Arti et Amicitiae, the oldest artist society in the Netherlands, and her work is held in private collections worldwide.
